Apartment Cleanout · Larchmont & ODU
Apartment Cleanouts Near ODU
Old Dominion had 23,494 students in 2023, and a lot of them rent in Larchmont, Colonial Place and Lamberts Point. Every May and December, futons, desks and bags of stuff pile up by the door. Split one booking with your roommates: a quarter truck is $241, a futon $111.
A University Neighborhood
ODU began in 1930, became independent in 1962 and a university in 1969. Its 250-acre campus is surrounded by homes from the 1920s through the 1950s — a median build year of 1956.
About half the homes are owner-occupied. The rest turn over with the academic year, and landlords call us for what tenants leave behind.
