Couch Removal · Wards Corner, Norfolk
Couch Removal in Wards Corner
Wards Corner sits less than four miles from Naval Station Norfolk, so its 1950s ranches and bungalows see a lot of Navy renters — and a lot of couches that aren’t worth shipping to the next duty station. A standard sofa is $126, a reclining sofa $152.
From a Country Store to a Crossroads
Wards Corner grew up around a general store that grocer Alfred C. Ward opened on Norfolk County farmland in 1910. It’s about five miles north of downtown.
Talbot Park and Norview Gardens fill out the neighborhood with houses from roughly 1955 to 1965. Just up the road, Naval Station Norfolk is home port for Fleet Forces Command, with 11 miles of pier.

Orders in Hand
A couch bought for this tour stays behind when the tour ends. We collect it before the move-out inspection.
Narrow Bungalow Doors
Mid-century front doors and tight hall turns are why the old sofa came in legs-off. It leaves the same way.
Norfolk’s city pickup needs a request by 3 p.m. the day before and the piece at the curb. We come inside for it.
